Workday tomorrow - and I will soon turn in, right after I have posted this entry.
It's almost a week after book release. And it's a mixed bag of emotions for me. Promotion is definitely eating into my writing time. So is work. I need to write, at least for two hours per day. That if I can deal with the exhaustion of a whole day's work.
Am I the only debut author who checks the rankings everyday? Tell me that's normal!
LJ is on the frizz again. So, I am posting entries in DW and Wordpress.
Keep your eyes peeled. ;)

Feb. 23rd, 2011 08:18 amSome updatia as I try to work out an equilibrium between work and non-work life: My story "Cog-Work Cat" is in The Best of Everyday Fiction III: here. I love the story. It evolved from something steampunk to something totally different.
I scrolled through my recent posts and was struck by the incidence of sick/flu-ed/unwell posts. Time to kickstart my sword practice. I have to get well. I need to get well.
Did some updates and cleaning-up of my writery blog. Spammers are getting bolder these days and ruder. I got "As if!" on one of my posts. Look, if you are a genuine reader, that's not a good comment/feedback. If you are a spammer, well, your post just gave you away. GO AWAY.

So, yes, the household is down with degrees of it. Baby is coughing and sniffling. I am coughing. The weekend has become one of cleaning up after baby.
At least, we got to go out and enjoy the (blistering) sunshine, if you ignore the coughing in the background.
I crave soup. Lots of it.

Friday state of the Saber: updates.
Jan. 21st, 2011 10:44 pmI started teaching creative writing in a local primary school. The kids are about 11-12 years old. The first lesson was okay-ish, covering structure, beginning and setting.
Lunar New Year is fast approaching. I need to get my clothes asap.
My body seems stuck in "exhausted" mode. Exercise, exercise, exercise!
